When you launch a professional activity, in addition to the logo you should have the slogan. But what is exactly a slogan? How can we succeed with slogan?
A slogan is a business tool used in the promotion process for any product; it is very useful when your “brand” or logo does not give information about your business. If you set your logo without slogan, people do not really know what you are doing! Without Slogan, you cannot be visible for your customers or your suppliers and your competitors.
Choosing a slogan is not easy as we know. It must be well thought!
The slogan should be:
• Short but memorable, to easily attach in consumer’s mind, and it must have a memorable sound, with good pace and good sound style.
• Clear, use a vocabulary which identify the target audience.
• Durable, do not change a good slogan, people do not like change they do not trust it. Choose a slogan that should long after as “Steve Cone,” said in his book “Power lines”, “a powerful slogan cross the time, transforms trademarks in cultural pillars and even helping to change the world”
• Credible, the worst mistake one can commit in writing a slogan, it’s to overdo it or promise unrealistic things.
